Information we collect
We collect information you provide when creating or using an account, such as your name, contact details, profile information, service skills, job details, messages, and payment-related information.
Account and profile information, including worker credentials and portfolio content.
Approximate or precise location when you permit it, to support nearby matching.
Job, application, engagement, review, support, and safety information.
Device and usage information needed to operate, secure, and improve Unavia.
How we use information
Operate the marketplace and match clients with relevant local workers.
Verify identity or credentials, prevent fraud, and enforce safety standards.
Process protected payments and support refunds or disputes.
Provide support, send service messages, and improve the product.
Meet legal, accounting, security, and regulatory obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share only what is needed with other marketplace users, service providers that help us operate Unavia, payment and verification providers, or authorities when legally required. Public worker profiles show only the fields intentionally made public for discovery.
Payments and verification
Payments are processed by payment providers such as Stripe; Unavia does not store complete card or bank account numbers. Identity and credential checks may be handled by specialist providers under their own privacy terms. Verification reduces risk but is not a guarantee of a person’s conduct or work quality.
Website analytics
We may record limited first-party events such as page views, searches, and app-download clicks to understand whether the site works. These events use a temporary session identifier and are designed not to include names, email addresses, search text, or precise location.
Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including safety, dispute, financial, and legal requirements. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can update profile information in the app and may request access, correction, or deletion of your information. Full instructions, including how to delete without the app, are at unavia.ca/delete-account. Some records may need to be retained where required by law, fraud prevention, payment processing, or an unresolved dispute.
Children and changes
Unavia is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We may update this policy as the service changes; the date at the top shows the latest revision.
